Our research utilized a range of models, including isolated heart experiments in rats and ANP knockout mice, along with clinical investigations involving plasma samples from 216 patients suffering from ischemia-related diseases.

This uptick in zinc led to protective effects on the heart, primarily by reducing injury during the reperfusion phase.
